So in the spirit of getting to know one another ~authentically~ here's a little bit about the gal behind the business...
Lots of little paths helped me to hone in on exactly the kind of creative work + strategy that we've built here at Kindred Co. So here's a little more of my story and how I wound up here...
Instead of trying to scale at all costs, what if we built at human scale? What if success meant having clients who feel like friends, work that enhances rather than consumes your life, and a business village that supports not just your bank account, but your soul? That's the kind of business worth building IMHO.
After several years of studying human psychology in corporate environments and then 10 years documenting relationships through my camera lens, I kept seeing the same pattern: people thrive best when their focus isn't just on hustling but on investing in their community. In boardrooms, the most successful leaders created psychological safety where their colleagues felt genuinely known and supported. At weddings, the happiest couples were surrounded by villages of people who showed up not out of obligation, but out of unconditional + loving support. This realization changed everything about how I approach business. Now I help creative entrepreneurs apply the psychology of connection to build businesses that feel less like work and more like coming home.
I'm here to help creative entrepreneurs capture their authentic selves and build thriving business villages—through photography that acts as a first greeting to potential clients, and coaching that creates fulfilling + connected lives as business owners. I believe in building villages instead of follower counts, creating relationships in addition to revenue, and designing businesses that enhance your life rather than consume it. Because the world needs more authentic voices, more supportive communities, and more proof that success doesn't have to come at the cost of your soul."
And so, Kindred Co was born! A fusion of my passions for photography, coaching + mentoring, community building, and psychology. I'm so happy to have found my roundabout way to this beautiful marriage of my favorite things, and I hope you and your business are better for it too!

After years of giving up a majority of my weekends, pulling editing all-nighters, and being beholden to every instagram notification, I knew I had to build something different for myself, especially with a baby on the way. I realized my passion was always in supporting people as they explored their own passions + creative endeavors. I was also able to fall even more deeply in love with photography as an artistic + intentional craft after taking time off during my maternity leave. I've also loved the way motherhood itself has reframed the intention behind my business + creative expression.

I first got into photography as a way to supplement my income, and I fell in love being a part of people's joyful memories and hyping them up behind the camera. Before I knew it, I was shooting 25-30 weddings per year and making a lot more money than I ever did in my 9-5. But the lifestyle was pretty grueling + unsustainable...
2018
This was the first job that opened my mind about how business + psychology could partner together to create something really powerful. I loved talking to business execs about topics 10 levels deeper than their usual daily corporate jargon.

I still consider myself a spiritual person, but this was definitely my most *religious* era Although I came away with some light church-related trauma, this job really shaped my desire to meet + support others in a one-on-one setting, and provide unconditional love to people on their uniquely human journeys.
2015
I spent my collage career thinking I would eventually become a therapist. This of course would require (at the very least) a Master's degree, which I fully planned on getting *at some point*...

Your business should be a place you love to be, not somewhere you're desperately trying to escape. We create strategies that make Monday mornings something to look forward to and work that energizes rather than drains you.
Your quirks, passions, and unique perspective are your greatest business assets. We help you lead with personality because finding YOUR people in clientele, business connections, and team members is everything.
We believe the best businesses are built on collaboration with each other + genuine human connection. Instead of viewing other creatives as threats, we see them as potential village members—people to refer to, learn from, and celebrate with. When we all succeed together, everyone wins.
